Art of the Violin
Luke Wang
started his humble beginning playing the violin at the age of 6 under the wing of Ling-Hui Chuang and Wen-Liang Yiu. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in Music Performance at the University of British Columbia in 2014. Studied under Eugenia Choi, Patricia Shih and Jasper Wood. In 2010, he began his violin career as a music instructor. He hopes to guide students under his care to come to a realization of deeper appreciation for the art of the violin and for classical music. He pushes his students to pursue a higher level of excellence in polishing their sound, musical reading, and cognitive skills required to play the instrument. Concurrently, students that show great interest in learning also show improvement in other fields of their life, such as academics, sports and decision making. Practicing and dedicating your time in this art is demanding and rewarding. It requires constant habitual practice, which helps many aspects of student's own personal life of gaining responsibility, work ethic and self control. His vision is to one day pass down the torch to the next generation so that they may enrich the lives of those around them.
